Certification Pathway

AS 4736 — Industrial Compostability

The Australian standard for biodegradable plastics suitable for composting and other microbial treatment. This certification is required by several states for exemption from single-use plastic bans.

AS 5810 — Home Compostability

The Australian standard for biodegradable plastics suitable for home composting. A more stringent standard with lower temperature requirements.

Current status: REKAFFEE is pursuing AS 4736 / AS 5810 certification to complement existing SIRIM, TUV, and BPI certifications.
